Starts out with proprietary aromas of clove, spice and cinnamon, and in the mouth it’s a tannic grabber with forcefulness as well as ripe, sweet, menthol-infused berry flavors. Falls off somewhat on the finish, where butter and candy come in. Heavy and dark but still good for a New World Syrah.
