The 2008 “annata” Brunello from this same producer is one of the best wines made that vintage. Its 2007 riserva (released at the same time) shows dark berry, tobacco and spice. The wine is soft and plush with bright acidity and finely textured tannins. Pair this with succulent cuts of red meat.
