Country: Chile / Winemaker’s Selection Single Vineyard
Variety: Carmenère Limarí Valley
Winery: Tamaya /
The overriding sentiment is that Limarí is too cool for Carmenère, yet this wine, while a bit sour and rhubarby, is still pretty comfy and satisfying. The flavors rest on plum, blackberry and wood, while olive and carob control the finish. Falls off at the end, but good overall.
