This wine comes from this vineyard’s original Cabernet blocks planted in 1980. Wound-up aromas of woodspice, herb, pencil lead and dark fruit are followed by concentrated but still supple black-fruit flavors. It’s high up on the hedonistic scale, accentuated by a lengthy finish. Decant to let it open up.
