Just the ninth reserve made in the winery’s 23 vintages, this is densely aromatic, powerful Cabernet, just at the beginning of what should be a long life. It’s tight and astringent, textural and balanced, with a cassis core, and a gravelly, grainy, espresso-flavored finish, still quite tannic.
