A very strong take on this increasingly reliable Rhône grape, this wine from New Orleans-raised vintner Iris Rideau shows dried blackberry, leather, chopped herbs and violets on the lovely nose. It’s ripe yet tense on the palate, with dried flowers, fruits and licorice, showing ready-to-quaff elegance.
