While its briary, red berried fruit expression is pristine, there’s an Old-World anchor to this Cabernet Franc. It’s brambly and a bit herbal, but bright and fresh, framed firmly by tart acidity and velvety tannins. The palate is supple and silky with a long, persistent finish. Drinks well now but should improve till at least 2021.
