Made for the Chumash Casino-owning tribe by descendant Tara Gomez, this 54% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 18% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon shows black plum, blueberry, turned loam, minty chocolate and the slightest touch of oregano on the nose. The palate is framed by silky tannins, conveying blackberries with mocha, purple flowers and beef char. It’s built to last, so drink 2017–2028.
