Stewed black plum, brandied cherry, licorice and raisin aromas are very ripe and chocolaty. This is dense and a bit ponderous on the palate, with raisin, cassis, kirsch, black pepper and caramel flavors that finish sticky and a touch fiery. In many ways, this red-grape-based sweetie is similar to Pedro Xímenez from Sherry country.
