Country: US / Louvau Vineyard Old Vines
Variety: Zinfandel California
Winery: Dashe Cellars / Dry Creek Valley
Dashe always produces dependably good Zinfandels from this vineyard. The 2009 shows real complexity, with an earthy, mushroomy richness alongside the raspberry, red currant and spice flavors. It’s very dry, with a fine structure of acid and tannins. Marked by the rusticity that characterizes Dry Creek Zinfandels. It calls for pairing with rich stews, braised meats and barbecue.
