Attractive oaky aromas of wood smoke, black licorice and cedar float above rich notes of black currant and blackberry, with a bit of bell pepper adding nuance. Sweet spice and smoke flavors prevail on the palate alongside crushed-velvet tannins, ample acidity and a core of dark fruit. The long, spicy finish is plush, with a slightly herbaceous note.
