This blend of Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera from Italy’s Lake Garda displays a fresh note of cherry marmalade upfront. There’s a rustic but genuine feel to the wine (in a screwcap bottle) that would help it match hamburger or barbecued meats. The mouthfeel is lean, crisp and thin.
