This bottling continues to impress after all these years with its complexity and sheer deliciousness. The ’06 shows charred barrel fermentation notes of pungent, smoky wood, but there’s a great heart of citrus, melon and pepper spice flavors that makes the wine rich and rewarding. It’s made even better by zesty acidity and a bone-dry finish.
