Sometimes an annata Brunello can score higher than the riserva expression from the same vintage. With that extra year of aging, the ripe fruit on the already very plump and fruity 2007 vintage has dropped a tiny notch in intensity. But the elegance, balance and complexity of the wine remains the same.
