The winemaker added some Syrah to this Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend for extra complexity. It’s sensationally ripe and rich in blackberries, cherries, chocolate, grilled prosciutto and toast flavors, and the tannins are drop-dead gorgeous. The mid-palate, however, is candy-sweet, which detracts from the wine’s overall balance. Drink soon.
