Country: Spain / Gotín del Risc
Variety: Mencía Northern Spain
Winery: Abad / Bierzo
Gaseous, earthy, mossy aromas are not entirely inviting, and the palate is immensely thick and round, with big, grating tannins. But the plum, berry and meaty elements are good, and the finish of chewy tannins goes on for quite some time. An extracted wine with minor balance and aromatic issues.
